KAUA`I MOKIHANA FESTIVAL HULA COMPETITION
GENERAL RULES

Mrs. Mokihana Hula (Ages 30-54 Years)

Mr. Hula Auana (Ages 18-54 Years)

Kupuna Mokihana Hula (Ages 55 +)

  1. In order to enter a soloist, halau must enter both Group Kahiko Nei & Group Auana in the following categories:

    1. Kaikamahine

    2. Keiki Kane

    3. Wahine

    4. Kane

    NOTE: In order to enter a Kupuna Soloist, halau must enter the four mentioned above and/or the Group Kupuna or the Group Hui/Ohana Division.

  2. The song can be in Hawaiian or Hapa Haole.

    BONUS POINT OPPORTUNITY

    1. Songs 10 Years or less – 5 points

    2. Songs 25 Years to 11 Years – 3 points

  3. A maximum of 5 musicians and NO ELECTRICAL INSTRUMENTS are allowed.

MRS. MOKIHANA HULA ONLY

KUPUNA MOKIHANA HULA ONLY
